Zoom no registration option

 

Description Optional — Provide more detail about the webinar. When — Set webinar date and start time. Duration — Estimate the duration of your event. Recurring webinar — Not generally recommended, but can be used to set up a daily, weekly, or monthly webinar. Registration — Use this to set up a registration form for your meeting which attendees must fill out in advance. Webinar Passcode — Allows you to set up a passcode for you event. Attendees joining using the Webinar ID number rather than a link will need the passcode to join.

This will allow Panelists to turn on their video at the beginning of the event. Audio — This section is locked. Attendees will be able to connect to audio on their computer or over the phone. Webinar Options — See below.

Allows attendees to submit questions, which can be answered by Hosts, Co-hosts, and Panelists. Enable Practice Session — Strongly recommended. In practice mode, you can play around with settings and features. Attendees are not able to join while you are in practice mode. Require authentication to join — Restricts access to the webinar to current members of Tufts University students, faculty, and staff.

Make the webinar on-demand — Not recommended. If turned on, the webinar will be automatically recorded AND made immediately available to attendees after the event. Instead, it is recommended that you manually share the recording after the event, when you know there is nothing wrong with it. Automatically record webinar — Automatically records the webinar either to your local device or the Tufts Zoom cloud storage space.

Cloud is recommended. Alternative Hosts — Invite other Tufts Zoom users to be alternative hosts for your event. Click Schedule at the bottom of the form. Advanced Webinar Options. Click on the name of your webinar.

A webinar details page will load. Scroll to the bottom of the page. A series of tabs will be available. Attendees are subject to the overall chat settings. Chat settings can be changed during the meeting. You can allow anonymous questions or not.

You can set what questions the attendees see, answered questions only, all questions. If all questions are turned on there are also settings for attendees to upvote or comment, both can be turned on or off. The chat settings in a meeting are no chat, chat to host, chat to everyone publicly, chat to everyone publicly and privately. Participants by default can have their camera on or off. The host cannot turn on participant video but can ask them to turn on video via the participant window.

The host can turn off participant video and the participant will not be able to turn it back on unless given permission by the host. Meetings have breakout rooms. This feature is not available in Webinar. Breakout rooms allow the host to break users into groups, this can be for collaboration, information sessions think of a job fair or information fair with vendors.

When setting up breakout room manually, you have a few option settings. You can move participants into breakout rooms automatically, creating random groups of a specified number. The host can, allow or not, for participants to return to the main session at any time. The host can set the breakout rooms to end automatically after a specified time and be notified when time is up. The host can have a countdown timer when closing the room, and adjust the countdown from 10, 15, 30, 60, and seconds.

While breakout rooms are in session, the host can broadcast to all participants. The participants can ask for help. In meetings the host can, allow or not, participants to share screen. Annotations can be turned off in meeting after the share has started.

This can present a Zoom bombing issue when hosting a public meeting. Annotations can be turned off in the user settings of the host creating the meeting. Note that this affects all of the meetings so if you use annotations for other meetings you would want to turn it back on in settings. You can require registration in both meetings and webinar. There are two approval methods automatically and manually. You can also select the information you would like to gather from registrants such as first name, last name, email, along with other details like address, organization, etc.

There is also a text field for questions and comments. You can also create custom questions for registrants to answer during registration.

You can make any of the field required or optional except for First name and Email Address, they are always required. You can always decide to record your meeting. Registration cannot be used with recurring meetings or if the Join before host option is selected. If these options are selected, registration is disabled for the meeting or webinar, and any previous attendee registrations are permanently deleted.

Check status. If you leave this check box unchecked and an attendee registers after the meeting, or the webinar has already started, they cannot join until they receive a registration confirmation email and provide the meeting or webinar password.

I have had my zoom pro account for over a yeaer but have never had to use the meeting registration functionality. Now I do need to set a meeting up with registrations and I don’t have a registration tab in my meeting scheduler – is there something I need to do in my settings first?

We have public meetings where I want to have a registration page we use the link on meetup and we have internal meetings for which I don’t want to use a registration page. Is this not possible??? And if yes, how can I go back to the old situation without a registration page?! When you create a meeting, you either choose with, or without registration. So do not select the registration option on meetings you create and don’t want that option.

I allready told you: I checked it three times, the checkmark wasn’t set for the registration page!!! But anyway the link I got let to the creation page of a past event, but when the people registered the link they got was the right one for the new event. I was more then puzzled.
