I eventually was able to find the classic control panel window and could create a shortcut on the desktop which I still can’t pin to the taskbar or start menu. Seems to be the only way. I have done as you suggested but when i right click to set the pin, it will only allow me to pin it to the Start Menu, not the Task Bar. Have i missed a step? Create a shortcut on the desktop to a different program, that’s not already Pinned to taskbar, say Notepad. Rename the shortcut as desired and change the icons. Pin it to taskbar.
