Firstbly, excuse me if this is not the correct place to ask my question. I have searched information and I have found this forum. I think the problem is that you are trying to upgrade to an evaluation version.

As far I know, you can only upgrade from an evaluation version to a retail version. License conversion usually only applies to upgrades from one edition to another of the same release. However, I think if an upgrade to an evaluation version were possible, Microsoft would have mentioned it on that page. Thus, I believe you need a retail version of Windows Sever R2. If you want to evaluate Windows Server R2 first, you have to start from scratch with a clean install.

In my view, this is the safest path anyway. Upgrading Windows is always risky. Javier , Windows Server evaluation period begins and runs for days. As far as I know the evaluation period can be extended only for two more times. I have a specific probe with one of my servers. See attached image. The error messages says that you have to evict the node from the cluster and then perform a clean installation and this is also the procedure I know. Please ask IT administration questions in the forums.
